The Bill proposes to exempt electronic cigarettes transported through Hong Kong via sea-air and land-air intermodal under a new part of the Import and Export Ordinance. A European Commission public consultation on the legislative framework for tobacco products is underway and will accept responses until May 16. The consultation—the second part of a process that began in 2022—launched in late February.
